Nakivubo Channel Floods: Data Reconnaissance.

Urban flooding along the Nakivubo Channel is a persistent and growing challenge for Kampala, disrupting livelihoods, damaging property, and straining city services during extreme rainfall events. We are documenting flood impacts through structured, field-based data collection and analysis to support better preparedness, faster response, and long-term urban resilience planning.
This database consists of key flood events:- time of occurrence, magnitude and severity of impact in the busy downtown Kampala. This database is created for all stakeholders interested in urban planning, flood risk management, disaster preparedness, and risk financing for better flood resilience in a rapidly growing Sub-Saharan city.
